A good friend died.

I had to say goodbye to a friend I've had for about 12 years now. He was a dependable and quality friend that always came through for me. He came all the way from Japan to stay with us and we've been on cross country trips together. He was always there when I needed him and he gave and gave till finally his old ticker just up and quit. I tried to bring him back to life but when your brain says you're dead,... there's nothing the body can do to stay alive.
You will be missed terribly my sweet, lovely NH-KA10YA...sniff sniff...

Dogs can be great friends, I hear, but I too have had great appliances as friends as well. I got a clock radio as a teenager that lasted until my second child was born. Very sad to see that one go. Now, of course, I have children who enjoy taking them apart. That's fun too. (Did you know that a speaker makes a good magnet?)

I wish you all the best as you bid your farewells.

Karen, I am so sorry to hear about your rice cooker. Visiting you will not be the same now. Although I always envied your cooker. Poor thing. he gave his all. :( My rice cookers have never been as good as he was, even though I could never figure out the directions on your little guy-it was Japanese you know!!!!!Love you. MomF
