Halloween and accoutrements.

Pirates, princesses, and pumpkins...Oh my!
Of course, I must share my kids costumes....!
Eat your heart out Captain Jack Sparrow.
Here is the new "Pirate King" with his GQ pose.
I sewed the jerkin with fabric I bought for a couple bucks then assembled everything else from the household including MY boots. He added a narley scar later which i didn't get a good pic of, but he was a smokin' hot pirate if I say so myself!
I bought this dress 3 years ago for a "Princess" party Claire had.
I bought a bunch of costumes way cheap the day after Halloween then had the girls pick a dress when they came to the party, then Claire got to keep the dresses for dress-ups (and more than one halloween costume too.)
This is the first year that Claire has fit this dress correctly. My cost this year was less than a buck for the head dress stuff. Yay!
Claire looks so much like I remember Taylor looking at this age! She used to do her hair like this alot, which is a biggie, but her general face shape and expressions sometimes floor me, they are so similar!
I guess I should expect that from double cousins!
And our little "Pumpkin" was a fun treat too.
For the trunk-or-treat I put him in a yellow sleeper and he was a "twinkie" I did a tad more for Halloween though. I borrowed the hat stem from my friend and I had the coat and bag already.
(I couldn't think of a way to attach it to his head, which is the same orange hue, in any comfortable, semi-permanent way, so the hood had to do. Besides it was cold out.)
Love cheap costumes!
And our last little halloween item is the three mini-pumkins that grew voluntarily off my back deck. Which just goes to show you, good things can come from rotten vegetables molding away in the rain next to your door. As long as you kick it off on the dirt before summer comes! (I think the kicking was part of my Christmas Decorating.)
