President Elect Obama

I didn't vote for the man, I disagree with most of his politics
and I am afraid for the policies he will adopt that may be destructive.
That said, I am proud that The United States of America has elected its first black President. (If he had been a Republican I would have voted for him!) I hope it will dispell with the myth of racism that we are often slapped with here. I feel, though his moral stands are wrong, that he has them for what he feels are noble reasons. I am impressed with his wife and family and his bearing as a world leader that commands respect. I want to do my best to support our country, and if I expect the world to respect us I know I need to respect our democratically elected leader as my legitimate president and hope that he will be a president for all of us, which he has claimed he wants to be.

HERES TO YOU PRESIDENT ELECT OBAMA,

MAY YOU CONTINUE TO HOLD MY RESPECT.

DITTO! It is wonderful that we could finally elect an African American; I too would have been more supportive if he were less of a socialist. But, I really appreciated, and agree with John McCain's consession speech, "Obama is MY president, and I will support him." He, and you are right. Now we will pray for him! And won't it also be fun to have children in the White House again!

I hear what your saying and ya, I'm not bitter Obama winning, but can you imagine what "the other side" would be like if John McCain did win. All you have to do it see what's happening in CA in reguards to prop 8. It's scarey. We are now being singled out if you donated any money to the Yes side (it's all public record) and I know atleast 75% or more of all that money came from members. They have been protesting in front of the LA temple every day and any business who is "against hate." My friends dads business had protesters just because he had a sign up. K, I am going to get me a gun before Obama trys to put more bans on that too. I am sad to say but I do not feel that Obama cares anything for my values and could care less about people like me.
