So guess where Dan got an appraisal order?
Haha, I wanted to go with him but couldn't,
so I told him to "take pictures!"
They did an exact replica of these two signs for the movie, one for the town and one for the High School... these pictures are of the authentic ones.

This isn't really *the* truck but it's a fun little mockup they have to take pics with. Dan got this pic from a real estate agent in Forks. No idea who that guy is...
This is lake Crescent, a gorgeous lake if ever there was one, its mentioned in the movie too. Our family camped up at Sol Duc Hot Springs one year and drove along this lake, this is really beautiful country.
That's the Pacific Ocean through the trees.
Obviousely, there were no Vampires about,
as it was a Sunny day.
So rare!

Beautiful pictures. I'm sorry, I feel so dumb, but I don't know what movie you are talking about. Maybe you can clue your "old fashioned parents" in about your entry. Love ya, Mom
My blog post is about two things really. A series of books (the author happens to be LDS) called 'Twilight'. The first book is 'Twilight', then there's 'New Moon', 'Eclipse' and 'Breaking Dawn'. You may have heard of them from other family members. I know that Clarissa, and Sherlyn and her older kids have read them. Have you heard of them? I'm sure when you get back you could read them and find out for your self if you like them or not. The series is about a girl and vampires that live in Forks, WA. Its been quite a sensation for the young adult fiction genre. Each book has been a New York Times bestseller and they made a movie from Twilight. (They are also making the next movie as we speak from New Moon.) They are calling the series the next Harry Potter for Young Adult fiction books. They are clean books as far as morality, though some elements are a bit questionable for those of us with strict moral standards... but then Vampires aren't real and so neither are the situations that are created. On the whole I really like the books, though I have a couple reservations. (If this wasn't by an LDS author I wouldn't have any! I'd actually be impressed with its level of virtue. How double standard is that?)
Anyway, thought I'd let you in on the 'secret'...; )
What? No Edward?! What a bummer... hehe, just kidding. I would have loved to go along for the ride too! You know, Edward could have been around, he's just to fast and runs up tall trees, so unless Dan was looking up some of the tallest trees or found their secret hiding ground in the sunshine, he wouldn't know if Edward was really there. :)
Boy do these pictures make me homesick for the NW. Beautiful. Thanks. Mom F
