School Auction platter

I was asked to come up with an item for a school silent auction and chose to do a painted platter.
I got the platter at Paint Away , a paint it yourself ceramics store.  I drew the design on with pencil, then had the kids paint either a leaf (boys) or a flower (girls) they got to pick their color (the boys had a choice of greens) and then they wrote their name on top of that.  As 4th and 5th graders they all were dexterous enough to pull it off.
After the kids were done I went in and painted the vines and all the rest.

Then I turned it in to Paint Away and prayed for the best...!

 It turned out excellent!
The bids were over $100 at the auction when I had to leave.  Yay!

Hey, that is beautiful! You had a wonderful idea and I'm sure the kids loved doing it, too. What a great gift you have. Love you, Mom
