Tulip Festival trip

I LOVE going to the Tulip Festival here in Mt. Vernon WA.  Though, to go on a good weather day I usually have to yank the kids out of school.  It's a bonus because weekdays are usually less busy than weekends, but, if its nice weather when I want to go, other people have my same brilliant idea!
Well I was trying to figure out a day to go earlier in April when, on a bright sunny morning, right after Gid got to school, he threw up.  After I went and got him, he was feeling much better and I thought..."hmmm, can I take advantage of this situation?"  I asked Gid how he was doing... he said "Sooooooooo much better!" So I kept Claire from school and we piled in the car and we were off.
Going when Gid was sick probably should not be a repeated event.  He never threw up, he was just so tired, all he wanted to do was lay around.
 But Claire, Isaac and I had a great time.  Gideon I think enjoyed it, but not as much as usuall.  The other drawback was that it was too early.  The only fields really blooming were daffodils.  So we got a bunch of yellow pictures;
 but the beautiful tulip fields were mostly still green and unopened. : (  The Roozengarde was halfway opened and most of our color came from there
 We would have loved to go again, but we ran out of time!
